DAVID DEL RIO, currently starring in Nickelodeon’s new comedy series, The Troop, hasn’t forgotten his roots at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. He recently took time to dash off an update to us, writing “Vancouver is beautiful and the show is going very well.” He is as versatile as he is busy; he made his TV debut in Law and Order, has worked onstage in Cosi, Rumors and as “John Merrick” in The Elephant Man, has written and directed various short films and is currently writing a feature film. David continues his artistic relationship with NYCDA faculty as a “proud member” of our own Eileen Connolly’s Wallis Knot Theatre Company. We look forward to David’s next update; be sure to catch the premiere of The Troop in October of ’09.
"If there is one thing that NYCDA focuses on the most, it's growth. Helping me grow in understanding my craft. Helping me grow in understanding the business and what to look out for. Helping me grow by teaching me how to get the part, without breaking apart. I was very lucky to attend." -- David del Rio
